Rumors of romance between Mariah Carey, 38, and Nick Cannon, 27, first began to surface when Mariah was seen wearing a very large diamond ring on her left hand during a party for her new film, Tennessee, on April 26 in New York City. The only prior couple-sighting was when they were seen nuzzling up to one another in Las Vegas on April 14.

Mariah’s latest album hit shelves on April 15 and the diva’s record sales have been through the roof! This week Carey held on to the #1 spot on the U.S. album charts for a second straight week. E=MC2 is her sixth #1 album and broke records with her 17^th single at #1, Touch My Body.

Perez Hilton & The New York Post are now reporting that Cannon and Carey ELOPED! A source close to the couple has confirmed they were indeed married. The quiet ceremony took place on Wednesday, April 30 on a island, it was quoted as "very implusive" says the source.
