After 5 years of marriage, the daughter of rock star Steven Tyler has separated from her husband, British musician Royston Langdon. When Liv Tyler, 30, showed up at the New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala sans wedding ring rumors started to fly. A rep for the actress officially confirmed the divorce after weeks of media speculation. “They remain good friends and devoted parents to their son Milo and are requesting that their family’s privacy be respected at this time.” The couple married in 2003 and Milo was born in 2005. Langdon rose to fame in 1995 when his British band Spacehog’s song “In the Meantime” became a hit.

Scarlett Johansson, 23, and beau Ryan Reynolds, 31, are engaged! The couple’s announcement was confirmed by her rep who said they are “both thrilled.” The actors have been dating since February 2007, shortly after Reynolds split from previous fiancé Alanis Morissette, 33. Johansson was seen sporting the new bling at New York's Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala on Monday, May 5. (Yes, the same gala Live showed up ring-less)
Reynolds is currently filming the fittingly named The Proposal in Boston with Sandra Bullock. The couple has not set a wedding date.

Ryan Seacrest is rumored to be taking on a different kind of hosting gig next year and it’s a big one. According to MSNBC, Seacrest, who has filled in for friend Larry King in the past is in line to take over “Larry King Live” at the end of the year. In April 2007, King told The New York Times Seacrest would be his first choice to take over the show when the time came. “He’s the classic generalist,” King told the Times. “The only thing I don’t know, and I’ve gotten to know him pretty well, is how versed he is in politics, world affairs. Does he read the paper? Is he interested in Iraq? Because if he is, he’s going to be very good.”
A rep for Seacrest said that “Larry and Ryan are close and Ryan does fill in as a guest host from time to time, but we have no comment on this story.” Although, another source close to CNN said “there is no truth to this story.” Time will tell…

Uma Thurman’s stalker is finally convicted! According to reports Jack Jordan, 35, of California was convicted of fourth-degree stalking and second-degree aggravated harassment. In October of 2007 Jordan was arrested for stalking Therman for more than 2 years. The man claimed he was in love with the actress and they were meant to be. “He feels that he and Uma Thurman are fated to be together,” a detective wrote in the complaint against Jordan. “Since he came to New York, he has been sleeping in a car on her block among other places and has been trying to see her in person and continues to love her.”
Thurman, 38, was present in court to testify against Jordan on May 1. The actress told the court, “I was completely freaked out. It was like a nightmare. It was scary.” Jordan was originally indicted on five counts: attempting to commit crime of coercion in the first degree; stalking in the fourth degree; and aggravated harassment in the second degree.

Broadcaster Barbara Walters has stunned America by fessing up to being involved in an affair with a married senator throughout the 1970s. During a recent interview on The Oprah Winfrey Show, aring Tuesday, Walters admits she was “infatuated” with Republican Edward Brooke, adding, “He was exciting. He was brilliant. It was exciting times in Washington.”
Brooke took office in 1967 and was the first African-American to be elected to the Senate since 1870. Both he and Walters knew that public knowledge of their affair could have ruined his career as well as hers, Walters says.
Walters will apear on Oprah Winfrey to discuss her new memoir, Audition, which covers her long career in television, as well as her off-camera life.

Gisele Bundchen is named the top earning supermodel in the world – again. According to Forbes Magazine the world famous model raked in an estimated $35 million this year, beating her meager $33 million last year. “The 27-year-old continues to bag new contracts, noticeably with Pantene and a cosmetics giant yet to be named. Her face graces ads for Disney, Nivea, Vogue eyewear and Aquascutum, the U.K.-based luxury line,” Forbes.com said.
Closing out the top five richest models are Heidi Klum, earning $14 million with her gig as the Project Runway host, Kate Moss with $7.5 Million, Adriana Lima with $7 million and Doutzen Kroes with $6 million. The models listed were ranked primarily by estimated earnings over the past year. Where necessary, prestige and campaigns relevancy, editorials, fashion magazine covers and the industry opinion were taken into account according to Forbes.

Rumors of romance between Mariah Carey, 38, and Nick Cannon, 27, first began to surface when Mariah was seen wearing a very large diamond ring on her left hand during a party for her new film, Tennessee, on April 26 in New York City. The only prior couple-sighting was when they were seen nuzzling up to one another in Las Vegas on April 14.

The latest sighting of Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer sure has the public speculating! With both an intimate lunch date and some very interesting poolside moments, rumors have been flying. On their date in Miami on Friday afternoon, Michael's Genuine Food & Drink in the Miami Design District opened its doors early for the pair at 3:30 PM “I was happy to accommodate them,” according Charles Bell the general manager, “they were across from each other in a booth, their heads were close together, and they were engaged in a private conversation.” Mayer, 30, reportedly flew to Miami April 23 to see the 39-year-old actress during a break from shooting Marley & Me. The couple stayed at the Mandarin Oriental Miami before switching to the less public Conrad Miami, where they were spotted poolside all afternoon.

Tom Cruise will return to the Oprah Winfrey Show during May sweeps. Cruise has not made an appearance on the show since 2005, when he jumped up and down on Oprah’s couch declaring his love for Katie Holmes. The show is planned to celebrate Cruise’s 25 year career since his breakout role in Risky Business. It will be a two part show; the first to be shot in-studio before a live audience, the second portion will be filmed on location at Cruise’s Telluride retreat.

Britney makes another appearance on How I Met Your Mother. Spears will return to the CBS sitcom as the perky secretary “Abby” on Monday, May 12. “We’re all so thrilled to have Britney joining us once again,” series executive producer and co-creator Craig Thomas said in a statement. As previously reported Spears’ appearance on the March 24 episode scored her rave reviews and raised the shows ratings to 10.6 million in comparison to the 9.6 that tuned in the previous week.
